Trigun follows the story of Vash the Stampede, the "Humanoid Typhoon" who is accused of destroying cities. Wanted dead or Alive with a bounty of $$60,000,000,000 double dollars. Vash is a gunslinger who won't kill. Frankly though, he would rather just follow a pretty dress..Or at least thats how the story starts out. Trigun is set out in a futuristic old-west, on a planet entirely coverd by dessert. Vash meets Meryll and Milly, two insurance girls who were sent due to insurance on buildings in the city of July that Vash doesn't remember.
The story starts out with comedy but as the story goes on, you will find a deeper, darker story looking in to Vash's and the planets past. The 26 episode series released by Madhouse based of the manga Trigun and Trigun Maximum by Yasuhiro Nightgow in 1998 instantly became a fan favorite in Japan and the USA.
Pro's: Vash's character is excelent, he acts like an idiot, but has a deeper meaning. The setting that the story takes place. The Gung-ho-guns, the killers against vash make an intresting bunch. The eeriness and creepiness of Legato Bluesummers...
Con's: It ended, the story leaves little chances of an OVA/Movie/ new TV series, even though Madhouse wants to do it.
Is It Worth Buying? Trigun is a series no anime fan should go without, buy the boxset. You'll be glad you did.
Final Score 9.5/10, Excelent beyond belief, but left a bad spot to continue on.
