Statement posted on the official Adult Swim website: NEW YORK, NY--We're thrilled to inform you that after further discussions and pulling out our hair with our own hands, Adult Swim has obtained Saturday nights for a dedicated Action block. We announced this news moments ago at the Adult Swim Upfront in New York. The new block will debut Saturday, April 17, at 11 p.m. (e/p) Sundays will be dedicated to Comedy. Monday-Thursday will remain the mix of Comedy and Action that we've grown to love. Check this folder for further details next week.
Our public relations department literally had two versions of the press releases ready to go--those that didn't talk about Saturdays and others that did. We're very glad to be posting the Saturday versions. Thanks for your vocal support in our quest to expand Adult Swim to six nights. As for tonight, we're going to take Manhattan. Then we'll take Berlin.
