According to Yahoo Japan, the release of Oscar-winning director Hayao Miyazaki's latest film, Howl's Moving Castle, will be pushed back to November 28, 2004 from its originally set July 17, 2004 release date. The release is said to have been moved back due to production delays. Because of the delay, Howl's Moving Castle won't likely be released in the U.S. until sometime next year. However, Miyazaki's other new film, Porco Rosso, will be released in the U.S. by Buena Vista later this year.
Howl's Moving Castle, based on a children's book by British author Diana Wynn Jones, is the story of a young girl whose spirit has been placed in the body of an old woman by a wicked witch.
